I Feel Conflicted

That is right, I feel conflicted. My MIL called me tonight to check up on me to see how I am doing. I said other than DH leaving for his deployment things are wonderful. I am enjoying student teaching (although I can't wait til it is over) and this pregnancy is absolutely wonderful. I just wish that DH could be here with me as I experience all of these things with the baby. This is just supposed to be one of the most enjoyable times in my life and DH has to miss it; it just makes me so sad that he is gone. I cried like a baby last night at the thought of it. Do you see the conflict in feelings? I am happy and sad all in one that is a difficult position to be in.

In other news... I had an appointment with my Mid-Wife on Friday and had a quad screen done. Baby M's heartrate was about 146 and everything else seemed fine. I scheduled my big ultra sound for March 23! Yay! DH and I are still trying to decide how we are going to find out the sex of the baby. We definitely want to know it is just a matter of how he will find out. We are thinking that we will have them write it on a card and I will either open the card while on the phone with him or I open it while we are on Skype (if we can get that figured out).

That is all for tonight, I will do my 16 week survey on Wednesday with another bump picture!

15 Weeks- Orange!

Your Baby: Week 15

Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now outmeasure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements.

How far along? : 15 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I was down 7 pounds since pre-pregnancy, but I gained 3 pounds so that means I am still down 4 pounds.

How big is baby?: Baby is the size of an orange! It is about 4 inches long.

Maternity clothes? I am still wearing maternity pants to work, but they are a bit big since I've lost some weight. I cannot do non maternity pants anymore. I almost have to wear maternity shirts now, but they are a bit big. Clothing is getting very frustrating! I did order some new maternity clothes this week, so I am waiting for them to come in.

Stretch marks? None yet, I am using stretch mark cream, lotion, and baby oil to keep my skin hydrated (when I think about using it). Let's hope that works!

Sleep: I am waking up in the middle of the night several times now, either to go to the bathroom or just to wake up. DH left last week so that could also be the reason.

Best moment this week: Feeling baby move!!! (Still)

Movement: Yes!! I felt flutters the other night! It was amazing! I can't wait to feel them again.

Food cravings: I still want a giant club sandwich, but I am afraid of the bacteria. Ugh! However, I have noticed that I really want cereal at night and sausage biscuits in the mornings for breakfast with juice on the side.

Gender: No idea. I should know in a few weeks.

Labor Signs: None, please stay away for a while.

Belly Button in or out?: Not an outie yet, but it is still huge!

New Pregnancy Symptom: Pain in my belly near my belly button. I think this is the Round Ligament Pain I keep hearing about.

What I am looking forward to: My 15 week appointment on Friday!

Weekly Wisdom: Love your husband an cherish every moment with him. This still applies this week

Milestones: Feeling Baby Move!!! And making it to 15 weeks. Only 25 more weeks!

Here is my 15 week picture. Look at that baby bump!

Aww.... Thank You for the Award!

I would like to thank Loloindeigo at The Little Things for this wonderful award!

I am to say 7 interesting things about myself, so I will see if I can come up with 7 things...
1. I am a 2 time State Champion Powerlifter in Louisiana. I lifted in high school for 3 years in the 97 lb. weightclass.

2. I have never said a "curse" word in my life. DH would love for me to say a bad word, but I can't bring myself to do it.

3. I got married when I was 19.

4. I've gone to 4 different colleges/universities

5. I became a Christian when I was 8 yeas old and have been to church almost every Sunday since before I was born.

6. I love watching really sappy chick flicks when DH is deployed.

7. I don't really enjoy cooking. I claim I do, but I don't. I would much rather DH cook and I clean the kitchen.

I would like to nominate

Holy Cow, Baby is a Lemon!

14 Weeks!

Your Baby: Week 14

Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.

How far along? : 14 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I am down 7 pounds since pre-pregnancy. I thought I would be gaining weight by now, but I'm ok with holding off on that. I may be finally gaining weight now, this morning's weight was a bit higher than previous days.

How big is baby?: Baby is the size of a Lemon! It is about 3.5-5 inches long.

Maternity clothes? I am still wearing maternity pants to work, but they are a bit big since I've lost some weight. Non maternity pants are too tight now. My Belly Band is getting too tight around my belly these days. I almost have to wear maternity shirts now, but they are a bit big. Clothing is getting very frustrating!

Stretch marks? None yet, I am using stretch mark cream, lotion, and baby oil to keep my skin hydrated (when I think about using it). Let's hope that works!

Sleep: I am sleeping great. I still wake up once a night to go to the bathroom, but not anymore than that now.

Best moment this week: Feeling baby move for the first time!!!

Movement: Yes!! I felt flutters the other night! It was amazing! I can't wait to feel them again.

Food cravings: No real cravings so far this week. I want a big club sandwich, but I am too scared of the bacteria. I might have to risk it, though. I was wanting tuna the other day so I had that for lunch.

Gender: No idea. I should know in a few weeks.

Labor Signs: None, please stay away for a while.

Belly Button in or out?: Not an outie, but it is getting bigger everyday! Yikes!

New Pregnancy Symptom: Major gas, more (TMI) discharge, and of course my popping belly.

What I am looking forward to: My 15 week appointment on the 26th!

Weekly Wisdom: Love your husband an cherish every moment with him.

Milestones: Feeling Baby Move!!!

On another note:
DH left on Tuesday for another deployment. He will be gone for about 21 weeks. If you do the math, I will be 35 weeks when he gets home. Things are going to be so different when he gets back, I still don't can't even imagine different it is going to be. We MAY have 1 month before the baby comes with it just being us two again. I am going to have to email him tons of pictures of my growing belly so he doesn't freak out when he sees me again.

Don't worry I'm still here!

Your Baby: Week 13

Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)

How far along? : 13 Weeks, 4 days

Total weight gain/loss: I am down 5-6 pounds since pre-pregnancy. I thought I would be gaining weight by now, but I'm ok with holding off on that.

How big is baby?: Baby is the size of a peach! It is about 3 inches long.

Maternity clothes? I am still wearing maternity pants to work, but they are a bit big since I've lost some weight. I can still fit in my non maternity jeans, but I have to wear my belly band. I almost have to wear maternity shirts now, but they are a bit big. Clothing is getting very frustrating!

Stretch marks? None yet, I am using stretch mark cream, lotion, and baby oil to keep my skin hydrated (when I think about using it). Let's hope that works!

Sleep: I am sleeping ok. I toss and turn alot and wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, so I wake up pretty drowsy. I long for a full nights sleep.

Best moment this week: Registering for baby and getting to Second Trimester!!

Movement: Still waiting to feel the movements. I can not wait for that day.

Food cravings: Cheese puffs! Yumm! Other than that none to make note of.

Gender: No idea. About 7 more weeks and I should know!

Labor Signs: None, please stay away for a while.

Belly Button in or out?: In, but it is getting bigger! I looked down the other day and noticed it is getting more spread out! Ah!

What I am looking forward to: My 15 week appointment on the 26th!

Weekly Wisdom: Do things in your own time, not the timing of others.

Milestones: Second Trimester, of course!!

Here are some pictures of my bump
One at 4 weeks, 2 days the other at 13 weeks.... What a difference!!
